It is best to be prepared and learn costs of procedures. Don't rush into a c-section unless absolutely necessary. I have a nice sized girl who has delivered without complication in the past, but had to have a c-section the last time. She was on day 67 with no labor signs at all. The pups were growing by the day and we just had to get them out (vet actually called me at home). She was very large and looked ready to pop. Still was acting perfectly fine though. I'll attach pictures. Anyway.....you never know, but the larger percentage don't end up needing one. You can go online at check out some awesome whleping sites that let you know what to expect, what to wait out, and what are true warning signs that something is wrong. I wish you the best!

Oh, these pics are 5 days before the surgery. The c-section was $400 or $500...once tails were docked a few days later, I had $750 into the litter.
