I brought my puppy home on a plane. You have to call the airlines directly and make a reservation, there are only so many pets allowed in the cabin. You will need a current health certificate from your vet.
They charge you a fee each way mine was $80.00 for her to fly under the seat.
My flight was overbooked, but I did take her out of her carrier, the flight attendants didn't say anything (I picked the last seat in the back of the plane, window seat) and I warned my seatmates I had a puppy and would be taking her out. They didn't mind.
It was fine and worked out. We were on a plane a total of 6 hrs. I took her into the bathroom and put her on a pee pad to go potty. She did get sick, so bring some baby wipes. |
