many, many excellant breeders ship their puppies and it is posted on here all the time what good experiences it has been. of course, there is a bad experience sometimes but not often. You shouldn't lump all shippers in your assumption. it is great that you love your breeder and want to send them business but I take offense at your sentence about shipping. it all depends on the situation. Of course it is always much better to get one local so you can see parents and etc but that is not always an option.
