Hey Virginians! Roxie's c-section was around $500. I have an emergency fund for my breeding program, it comes in handy cause you never know. Roxie's first pup was very large (6.5 oz.) and presented posterior with the placenta. It took her two hours to get him out with help. By the time the third was born she was just tuckered out. The vet made her wait 4 hours (wouldn't want him to miss his lunch) saying rest would fix it. She still had 3 more pups to go and because he had waited so long a stillborn pup was stuck in the birth canal. I now have a new vet and learned a valuable lesson. You are your dogs only advocate, sometimes you have to stand up for it even against the vet. Good luck with your whelping.
