that is funny because i have a cat...he's about the same size as both my yorkies...Teddy, my male will go up to him, tail a waggin' with a toy in his mouth expecting Mr. Kitty to just play with him, but my cat is very temperamental. He's been altered since last year....so he's not as kind as he should be sometimes. I haven't separated them but a few times, because the cat isn't one who will back off, not even if an adult plays with him, and he gets rough, he keeps coming back for more....
Teddy has pretty much learned to just play dead or lay on his back and be submissive to the cat, which is pretty awful considering he's the dog!! but, he's learned the kitty is mean!
