 I Never thought it would happen to me
But it did !!!! When I first heard of microchipping right after I got Oliver .... I thought he is too small and it will hurt him and besides that I had never lost a dog , or a child , and if you are cautious it wouldn't happen now.,,,,
Well in Jan. I was proven wrong.... it was a freak thing both of my dogs ran out the front door as I was bringing in groceries..... my hubby was working on painting in the bedroom and he called me to the back of the house to help him and Ididn't realize that they got out.... ( that never happened ) I heard Sophie barking and ran to the door and my Oliver was gone...., it happened so quick... they never would go anywhere without the other one...
When I dove in to the driveway there was 3 addtional cars at one of my neighbors homes and they were standing outside .... when I went back all the cars were gone and so was my Oliver.... I know someone in one of those cars snatched him.,,, My neighbors deny it and I can't do anything about it...
I put out flyers signs posters everything.... but still don't have him back .
Microchipping would not help this case but if he ever escapes them , then I would have a slim chance of getting him back...
My new baby was microchipped before we left the Breeder.....
