Hello! The following are my thoughts only on how old a male should be to stud him out. Some will not not be ready physically to reproduce until about a year old. This was what we went through with our little Gizmo when we bred him at 8 months. It really depends on your dog - some are ready earlier. The best thing you can do if you want to try earlier is take him to the vet and get his sperm tested to see if they are active yet. It took our vet like 5 minutes and she was ready to tell us that he was all set to go for breeding in about 10 minutes all together.
