 housetraining
I just got my first Yorkie 3 weeks ago. His name is Eddie and is doing well housebreaking on puppypads since I live in Canada and it is cold out we don't let him outside yet. I think the key is to be consistant and have lots of patience. He is great going pee and can go on demand but with the poops we have to watch him like a hawk and put him on the pads at the first sign of him having to go. If he doesn't go on the pads then it is our fault for not watching him. He usually goes about 10 minutes to 1/2 an hour after he eats. I think it is just persistance and lots of rewards and you shouldn't have too many problems.................Teigan |
