I bought these all natural chicken breast jerky treats at Walmart the other day. I thought they would be good healthy treats as they had nothing added just 100% chicken breast with nothing added. They even smell like something I could eat if I had to. Well gave Teddy one in the car on the way home and he worked on it for about 10 minutes and then it was gone. Great he love it!
NOT...Later that night I gave hime a small piece I had cut off the larger piece as treat for going potty outside. He cried a little as it went down and I just attributed it to it having a sharp edge and him not chewing it fully before swallowing it.
Today was bath day and after his bath, blow dry I gave him a whole one to keep him busy while I cut his nails. Before I knew it he was hacking and screaming and hacking and screaming. I was so scared and thought he was going to choke to death. I didn't know what to do...I ended up getting a syringe and putting some warm water in it and skirting it in his mouth. He was swallowing it so I kept doing it and pretty soon he threw the large piece he had swallowed up. He was scared too and just wanted to put his head on me for a while.
Everything is fine now but oh boy what a scare!
He will not ever have another of those and just wanted to let everyone else know that they should steer clear of those things!
