I have the same problem, My yorkies won't pee in my room, so I keep them in there at night with the door shut...when I didn't, they seemed to pee in my sons room, it smelled like a toliet in there Gross! But I went and bought a shampooer and shampooed the carpets today with pet odor shampoo, and for now it has seemed to work. The shampooer cost $130 at Wal-mart, much cheeper than new carpet, wood, or tile. JMO but I'd try that first before I spent major bucks on new flooring.
