Before you can determine whether your tree has a pest or disease issue (biotic disorder), you should have a professional arborist inspect your tree(s). When trees show signs of decline or stress of different types, it may not always be a pest or a disease present. A lot of the time it is an environmental issue (abiotic disorder), like a nutrient deficiency or an irrigation issue that is the problem. Abiotic disorders can lead to secondary pest and disease issues if left unmanaged, so an experts opinion should be sought out.
