here is the letter i received from Innova today regarding freezing:
Dear pet lover,
Thank you for contacting us about our products. You have 3 months after opening a bag in which to use it.
We recommend that you keep the food in the original bag with the top tightly rolled down, and store in a cool, dry, preferably dark place. Do not store it on a cement floor, under a sink, in a laundry room, or a hot garage.
Refrigeration is optimum, but freezing is not recommended because it can affect palatability. You may refrigerate our food for up to 6 months in a glass container.
If you want to store it in another container, we recommend storing the entire bag in the container rather than dumping it out of the bag. Some plastics and metals can react with the food and decrease freshness, and even containers that claim they are "airtight" allow air to flow through, which affects freshness.
I hope I have given enough information to adequately address your query. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Please reference the original e-mail when responding.
