YorkieTalk is a place for everyone, we have members here who don't even have Yorkies...One thing unique about YorkieTalk is that the one common ground people share is the love for the breed and pups in general.

Everyday folks come here, thousands and thousands for advice, whether they are members or not. One only needs to do a google search for anything Yorkie and I guarantee YT information will be at the top of the results.

There are people from every walk of life on here, we all have different beliefs, opinions, ideas and advice on how to take care of a Yorkie.

I'm sorry you didn't like the replies here but the reality is that the dog does need help and the owner can not provide that help. Rubbing Karo syrup on the gums of a Yorkie is not the cure all. Presented with all this OP described you have a very sick dog who has already gone without medical intervention. Is it really fair that this dog suffer needlessly when there are so many people out there willing to help?

To many of us these babies are not just an animal, they are lifelines of love and compassion, they are our babies and there aren't many here that wouldn't do ANYTHING to save the life of a pup, even if that meant surrendering a pup.

Through my time here I've seen people transport surrenders across the country in a maddening relay to get a pup help...I've seen people who have stayed up all night on the telephone guiding byb's through the delivery of pups, I've seen people give their money and I've seen people cry over the deaths of pups they have never met. I've seen people surrender their pups and I've seen YTers take them in.

For you to say this a place less than anything than it really is baseless and unfair and quite frankly appalling to me.

I guarantee that in the future, because of this thread, people will reach out to LadyJane for help, people will rush to the vet (while rubbing Karo syrup on their pups gums) and pups will survive because they did so.

You can choose to be a part of this "family" and offer your advice and accept that not everyone will like nor heed it, or you can walk away and take all that information you want to share with you, do you really want to do that?

I can't imagine not having YT and all the information and support I get daily, not to mention through all my real life nightmares. I've had people talk me through my gut wrenching grief of losing my pup...I've had people give me recipes that have improved my dogs life, peepads that don't smell, clothing that I couldn't possibly find anywhere else, cones that were not traumatic and cumbersome, laughs and tears...thick and thin..love and war...that is YT.
