Hes taking amoxicillian 50 mg twice a day, flagyl 25 mg twice a day and budesondine 1mg per day as well as Pepcid 2.5 mg twice a day.

Has anyone else had success in keeping their dogs IBD under control? What medications did you give your dog and for how long?

What diet seemed to help keep their IBD under control?

Gizmo is still not acting like himself 100% and the vet said it could take some time. I hate giving him all of these medications since hes only 3lbs

Thank you everyone!
My Rosie has IBS. Which I believe is similar. I have been able to control hers with diet. So no long term meds. However, at the first sight of an issue we get to the vet to get it under control. I know she was given an antibiotic and something for her tummy. But I don't know the name if it. Sorry. She bounced back quickly and doesn't take meds now unless we have a flare up. As far as diet, I have used Science Diet I/D and I home cook. I purchased a recipe from petdiets.com. She has done a lot better since I started home cooking or her. Hope your little one feels better soon!
