Oh, I hope nobody thought I was all for that child to make the decision. It's should absolutely be an adult choice to do the right thing. No child would ever want to give up their toys even if they don't play with them...well a spoiled child anyway. This kid in particular would hoard everything if she could. She definitely perceives this dog as a toy and not a living breathing creature that we are supposed to care for...ugh, makes me tired just thinking about it. All I can do is just pray they do the right thing.
She was spayed a long time ago and it was done at the earliest age safe for her. I don't know why the vet didn't take the teeth out then, but maybe they thought they'd come out on their own. I also think some of the vets around here look for every opportunity to make a buck rather than do what's best for the animal. Believe it or not, that's a common complaint around here.
