OOh we two, Yogi and DOri that did that when they were wee little ones....We did this with both and it worked good for us....I would hold them, (not hard) by the hair on both sides of thier little mouths, get right up in their face and say, "no bite" two times and sit there for about 10 seconds like that, put them down and walk off...it stopped quite fast!!! I never put them in their crates for dicipline, I always feared they would associate the crate negatively after that..maybe not, but that was my thought.....I will reiterate though, we did not pull or hurt them when we would hold their hair, it was only to get their attention and keep thier face directed at my face..... Soon they learn what "no bite" means they will respond when they are biting you ankles and pants...
