One thing that will REALLY help is to use an exercize pen. Put her sleeping area in one corner (I used thier crate), put food in another corner near the crate, put potty pads furthest away from where she sleeps and eats and put toys for a play area in the last corner. At that age and until they can reliably be given the run of the house, they should be in the x-pen any time you cannot give 100% attention to them. Everytime they use they potty pads give lots of praise. With mine, I watched and if it looked like they were needing to go, I would take them outside and when they were done, back to the xpen. Once mine were going outside or on the pee pads reliably, I then gave them more freedom. |
