In regards to Glucosamine, be sure to look at the label at the warnings before giving it to your dog and closely monitor them the first time you give it. There are several 'don't use ifs' that you need to make sure don't apply to your dog.
(I.e. I have a one dog who cannot have it with her food as she is allergic to shell fish.)
