Looking Forward to a "Hippy Halloween" Thanks to Sherry's Pet Stuff! 4 Attachment(s) I cannot say enough nice things about Sherry’s Pet Stuff (Normarae63) and the outfits she made for Piccolo, Vivi, and Buster. Aren’t they darling? We are having a “Hippy Halloween” dog/people party in October and Sherry had plenty of appliqué choices and styles to make this theme come true for my pack. Sherry was more than helpful during the shopping process on her site, as the retro material, styles, hippy appliqués, ribbon, etc. were discussed and chosen. The outfits are gorgeous and well made. LOVE your Hippie crew! Lisa, I cannot tell you how hard it's been not to show off these outfits! It really was great fun working with you & I'm so happy you're pleased with the way they turned out. It sure was a nice surprise for me to see the thread here today after working all weekend trying to restore a crashed laptop. Thanks for all the compliments girls...ya'll made me blush! |

Oh Lisa! What a darling pack you have there! Have they attended modeling school? They pose so well!!! :D Their Hippie outfits look so groovy! The Peace, Love, and Van looks so cute! I do try to plan ahead before getting the dogs in place. I like to have a bowl of tiny little piece of whatever I am going to use for a treat. (Like watermelon, greenbeans, etc.) Also, I take a picture of the empty seat to make sure the lighting and background both look okay. Do you do stuff like that too, Sandy? It is such a job. haha. |
I don't do much prep, I kind of use the surprise attack method because if I fuss too much Karlee and Tiki will go off and hide. It would be helpful if I could do it in a confined space I suppose. It's about all I can do to brush them, remove eye boogies, and get them to think it's treat time. Sometimes that's the point that I find that my camera battery is dead. But, your beautiful photos always inspire me, and I must put some real effort into this to get some updated portraits. The dogs are in all the family photos with people, but not alone. Maybe after I groom them this weekend we will give it a try:D |

Thinking about the confined space... I do think I relax if I know my dogs cannot get away. I have just figured out that I can put the xpen across the entrance to my front porch and that keeps the pups confined on the porch. I have started doing this in other areas too, like my neighbor's yard with beautiful flowers. Honestly, Piccolo is the only one I can trust not to run away, if I have her out beyond the fences. I wonder if they can read my nervous vibs? :eek: |
