I'll have to try that, thanks Gen. Update on my "smell" problem: Kaji had an odd week last week where he got muddy and extra dirty, to the extent that he would leave little dirty footprints all over the place. He had an abnormal amount of baths an after all those baths, the smell doesn't bother me anymore. I usually don't get over smells, ask bf I hate his new cologne , but I'm over this one! It doesn't irritate my nose anymore, I have no headaches and no sneezing. YAY!! I really really like this product and even with it's watery consistency I haven't run out from the sample size, and he has had A LOT of baths and I think I could still go for a few more. I'm really loving it! |

You guys talked me in to it! :) LOL I have foamer bottles!!!! They are awesome - you will use WAY less shampoo, and they pump the shampoo out in a great foam that is thick like shaving cream almost. :) Yorkie Splash and Shine | Yorkie Shampoo - Foamer Bottles |
Has anyone tried the conditioner in the pump? I use double the amt of conditioner than the shampoo. |

But, When I get about 1/2 way through a bottle I fill the bottle up with water and shake - it makes the conditioner a little thinner, but it mixes well and works just as good. :) |

Kaji doesn't have long hair, so I don't think the detangler would be used for tangles, but I would love to have something to refreshen him mid week. Can the detangler be used as a "cologne" spray? I'm getting "immune" to the Splash and Shine scent and my reaction to it is less and less each time, so I'm really loving the Splash and Shine!! OOPS! Just read the website and it says I can. I think I'll be ordering all three in the next few days. I'm finally running out of the sample size! |
I've ordered the sample 3 piece and look forward to getting it, I hope it works great for Bailey's coat too!!! |

I was just about to post that the detangler has a dual purpose (okay. maybe three) - detangler, coat conditioner, and between bath "freshener" that isn't sticky like dog colognes |
I ordered the sample size & couldn't wait to use it...It's terrific..The smell & shine are awesome. I will not use any other shampoo & conditioner ever!!!!! I just love it!!!! |
I just wanted to add to this thread. I took Lily to the dog park today and everyone commented on her lovely coat! She's not a silky and her coat looks healthy and shiny...thanks to Yorkie Splash & Shine! |
:DKeokis hair was nice and fluffy- he looked amazing after his bath. He also smelled amazing!!! Really love this product and supporting other yt members :) Definitely recommend it! |

I just used Yorkie Shine shampoo and conditioner for the first time on both Cooper and Max. OMG they smell amazing and Cooper's hair is nice and fluffy and Max's is smooth and soft. One would think I have show dogs:rolleyes: |
It is wonderful i love it |
3 Attachment(s) My favorite product is the leave in spray. I use it on my show dogs Kalena Chelli, BooBoo. Their hair stays tangle free and shiny. When I brush their hair, it doesn't break the hair. I don't have to keep them in full oil either all the time. Great product and they smells great too. Not a lot of work keeping them in full coat for their shows. They don't have to walk around looking all oily either. Here are picture of BooBoo, Chelli and Kalena with this product on the coats. Kalena goes everywhere with me. She looks great all the time.:D |

Yes this stuff is incredible. I'll have to try the leave in spray when Max's hair gets a little longer. They both smell so great this morning:) |
I really want to try this stuff! But, I still have half of thing of his old stuff left. I don't like to waste so I'll just have to wait until it's gone! I think he needs more baths! |

Beautiful pictures, jolissa! Would you mind if I posted these pics on my facebook fan page? :) |
WalnutHill;3279837]Beautiful pictures, jolissa! Would you mind if I posted these pics on my facebook fan page? :) Not at all you helped me find someone once. Thanks again for that find. As you can see their coats look great. I will post a recent pic of Kalena. That pic of her was when I 1st used your product at the yorkie specialty. That I bought there. Everyone else is a recent picture.;) |

I love her coat. It's so beautiful! |
 I love the Yorkie Sheen leave-in-spray also. I use it almost daily. I also admit that I sometimes use it on their beds when I sense they need a little freshening in between washings! I further admit that I have used the shampoo and the sheen on my own hair. Can't help it, I love the smell! Oh and works great on me too! |
I too love the Yorkie Sheen! It smells wonderful and is perfect for their daily brushing. I use Juicy Crittoure Soft Coat Conditioning Spray but it's discountinued. I'm glad I have found an alternative that I love so much! I will say that I don't care much for the shampoo/conditioner. We have used it a couple of times now and after washing, Franklin's coat is so waxy and tangled that it takes me twice as long to brush him out. I know it's supposed to go away but it's been 4 weeks now and no change. Even after drying his coat is sticky and not shiny. I really loved the smell and the fact that it was homemade and used natural ingredients. I really wanted to like it and I'm jealous that it works well on so many others dogs! I guess my dogs just have to be difficult. |
Too funny Diana! :) I am glad at least one of our products is a keeper for you. :) As much as I have tried to make the shampoo / conditioner work as universal as possible, there are going to be a few Yorkies that it doesn't work on. I hate that, but, what are you going to do, right? :) Anyway, I would be curious to know about your water - is it softened? Are they any additives in it or anything? That's one thing I really didn't take in to consideration. I live in the country and our water is probably a lot different than in most areas. Just curious if that would make a difference. |

I might try it a couple more times just because I *really* want it to work for us. Any suggestions? What exactly is it about the shampoo that leaves the waxy/sticky feeling? |
Quote:
Basically, our shampoo gets the hair shaft clean, while leaving the natural oils, and the hair follicle expands. This gives you the "waxy" feeling - the hair shafts have expanded and the scales on the hair shafts may actually be sticking out.... makes them stick together as those scales hook on each other. There is no waxy coating to help smooth down scales on damaged hair shafts - that's where the conditioner comes in. The conditioner helps relax the hairs and lay down the scales on the shaft (without forcing them like wax). The conditioner needs to be left on for at least a minute, two is better. As the hair becomes actually healthier over time, the scales on the shaft are healthier and flatter naturally. No wax or other chemical relaxers are needed to make the hair look healthy (without actually being healthy). All in theory, of course. :) I giess I should do some experimenting and look at the hairs under a microscope. :) |
Thanks for the info! my puppy's hair is dry except for the hair on top of his head. I think its because of the shampoo Im using. Im definitely going to order the Yorkie Splash! thank you |
