YorkieTalk Gift Exchange IX SIGNUPS!
 

The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE IX, our ninth Gift Exchange, will take place in August 2007.

Please note in order to participate:

- You must be a Donating Member of YorkieTalk.

- You must have 100 or more posts here at YorkieTalk.

- You must have joined YorkieTalk on or before July 1, 2007.



Please make sure you have read the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread as well as the Gift Exchange FAQ before you sign up!

Please do not sign up unless you are currently a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is $20 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may.

Here is the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread. Please read it again, as there have been some changes to the rules since the last Gift Exchange. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member that has donated $20 or more, this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation by the end of the Gift Exchange signup period for you to participate.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

This thread is ONLY for signups. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by July 1, 2007 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end July 20, 2007. You will receive your Secret Buddy information shortly after that. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting July 21, 2007. The deadline for sending out gifts will be August 15, 2007.

She would like her buddy to know that she is not allowed to have any rawhide, bullysticks, pig ears or anything along those lines. She becomes a mean little girl when mommy tries to take them away. She does not wear a collar at all. I use a harness to walk her.

She is a girly girl but she loves shorts and joggine pants. She could use a new sweat suit for fall.

She usually won't eat the hard treats found at most pet stores. We prefer all natural treats. She really does not need any leashes or collars, but she could use a silk step-in harness. She has a pink one on the way right now. She already has two flossies so she does not need any more of those.

She isn't really into clothes - she will wear a t-shirt, tank or sweatshirt for warmth but she isn't one to wear a dress just to wear one. She will tolerate a topknot for a while and then makes a scene about ripping it out. Most of the toys in the house are Loki's. The only toy that she has claimed and loves is the loofa dog, so Sammy definitely needs some tiny toys that are not her brother's. We have more treats than we know what to do with. We've never done this before, but it sounds like fun! I figured our buddy would have more fun buying or making things for Sammy since she is a girl, but she also doesn't have as much stuff as Loki. Sammy is a little peanut with a great personality. I could write about her forever!!! I hope this is enough!

Chloe now has her own room, so if you want to get anything for that, I'm sure she'll have fun decorating :rolleyes: It's pink (of course) with a "Bee Happy" border that has girlie-coloured flowers & bees.
We've been looking for a Daddy's girl t-shirt... ;) :p We've also been looking for a pair of overalls or an overall jumper.

Treats: Penny LOVES bully stix, and we can never have too many! I would really like an everlasting treat ball for her. We prefer natural, healthy treats; the Zuke's Jerky Naturals that she got in another exchange are a big favorite!

Clothing: Penny doesn't wear clothes really except in winter. She adores her sweaters, and we could always use some for when the cold Kansas wind comes back. Her coat mats VERY easily, though. Harnesses, preferably those without velcro, would be appreciated as she lives in an apartment now and must always be on a leash. Silk/satin step-in harnesses would be great! She would also love new bows for Mommy to put in her hair. Barrettes are preferred.

Yorkie's favorite colors - dk reds, browns, etc. No girlie-girl colors, please. Daddy likes her in simple, strong colors.
