The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XXIV, our twenty fourth Gift Exchange, will take place in May 2011. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE, though if you want to give your Secret Buddy Valentine-related items, that is fine.

We suggest you use the US Postal Service to mail to Canada or a non-USA address (as UPS and Fedex charges additional fees).

- You are a Donating Member of YorkieTalk.

- You have 250 or more posts here at YorkieTalk (before you sign up in this thread).

- You joined YorkieTalk before March 1, 2011.

- Please do NOT send your Secret Buddy any USED toys or clothes. Re-gifting a new item you may have received is fine, but any USED items are not allowed.

Please note that the spending minimum is $25 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

Here is the Gift Exchange Rules and Regulations thread. Please read it again, as there have been some changes to the rules since the last Gift Exchange. We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange. If you want to enter two Yorkies in this Gift Exchange, you must have donated a total of $50 or more.

Here is the Gift Exchange FAQ thread.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

If you are not in the USA or Canada, there is a $20 shipping fee to participate per Gift Exchange. Your Secret Buddy will be reimbursed this $20 fee after you have received your package. This covers the extra costs of shipping international.

This thread is ONLY for signups. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by March 1, 2010 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end April 30, 2011. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting May 1, 2011. The deadline for sending out gifts will be May 31, 2011.

I need a few things that could be ideas for my Secret Buddy if they want them to be. I need a new pee pad for my living room. I would love to have a new bed or snuggle sac to sleep on/in. Lastly I do not have anything with my name on it. I am actually jealous of Jackson because he does.:eek:

Truthfully we just want our SB to have fun. We had so much fun last time and we just want our SB this time to enjoy the time.:D

Bitsy loves anything that squeaks, likes things she can chew on (should be made really tough for her tiny sharp teeth). She doesn't have a particular favorite treat, she's pretty easy going, likes anything you give her. Right now with it getting warmer, she loves light weight t-shirts, little dresses.

He likes Zukes treats too. He doesn't like anything with chicken because his sissy is allergic to it. He loves Bully sticks esp the new premiums from AMD www.westbrookdog.com . He loves madan products from mimimomo at www.toplinepet.com and also likes clothes from T. Bumpkins and Co (107barney) and other YT vendors. Bentley loves toys from peachbongi since they don't tear up as easy. He likes things for strong chewers and stuffing free. He says to tell you that he really misses his antler chews since he finally got to the end of his and mommy had to throw it away. ;)

Lots of toys for doggies that like to tear up all the stuffing (durable, no stuffing, hard chewers toys) He would love some balls to chase and a new frisbie to play with. He likes boyish clothes and kinda wants to be a cowboy when he grows up. Have fun with him he's not that picky and he does love to support YT vendors since mommy is one of them.

Please have fun and don't stress out. We are very easy going here in Florida ;) We have lots of beds in this house so please refrain unless it is something you just can't resist :) The exception being a snuggle sack from Auntie Sherry (Normarae63) Sugar told me she doesn't have one to share with Mommy yet :D

I use washable potty pads and have been wanting to order one from 107Barney but have not yet at this point.We like the coconut oil from Ryan if he has a sample size or something.
I do not use bows with bands on Sugar due to an infection. I DO use covered alligator clips now though.

I like to dress Remy in Harnesses and girlie girl outfits. Bows are great (I like clips or barrettes). Remy likes pj and t-shirts for night, soft t-shirt dresses for everyday and of course dresses for going out! Maybe one day we will even try boots

Baby Grace is just a baby and has nothing of her own. She has some of Emme's left over's. LOL I would like to do her theme as Bunnies. So anything with bunnies on it would be a great thrill!!! Daisy loves to play fetch. Her favorite are small soft toys, small tennis balls. She loves clothing and casual things. She's been eyeing a few of the cute Hello Kitty items offered by Fairy Tails Fashion. She could really use a new collar - something thin (3/8") and either nylon or cotton would work. She loves to snuggle in warm soft places so a new blanket is always a favorite. Daisy wears bows every day (5/8" size) and she prefers bands not clips. Daisy has loves new soft toothbrushes (like a baby colgate or oral b or generic one that is soft. She also likes CET dental toothpaste in vanilla mint or poultry flavor. She has a very limited selection of foods she can tolerate as she has many medical problems. She can safely enjoy Sugarmamma's dehydrated sweet potatoes or tilapia, CET Dental treats (medium size, veggie variety only). Daisy likes cocotherapy treats also that Ryan /RDB911 sells. Daisy can have some other treats but it is really hard to pick ones that she can tolerate and we'd hate for them to go to waste. Daisy likes grooming products and would be interested in trying the Petsilk leave-in condition that Presto sells. Finally, Daisy loves to suppor the YHR pups in need and would love any of the little dresses in their boutique.

Yorkie's favorite colors - Daisy looks great in red, cranberry, black, and hot pink but we love all colors. Daisy will be thrilled with anything her buddy buys or makes for her.

We participated in two of the past three GE's missing the last one in February.

Have fun shopping for Trixie if she is your buddy...she really enjoys everything about the GE. Some ideas - Trixie told me that she would love a pearl fabuleash and would like another pajama from Barney107 - a nightshirt this time; a pompom sweater from Peachbongi; a robe or hooded towel for after her bath; a silk harness from chattiesmom; Wellness chicken treats; a himalayan chew - she would like to try one; a texas toothpick; a skineez toy....she has also been eyeing a cloud 9 bed with yorkielove print from YHR lol!!! These are just some ideas she has given me....Trixie will love anything her buddy sends her...she say to have a great time and have fun!!

Trixie cannot have any rawhides or bully sticks - they give her the poops :eek: and we try to only give her organic/natural treats. Thanks and remember.....have a great time!!

She is always between size Small and Medium which makes it hard to buy store bought clothes. :(

Pebbles doesn't have a lot of clothes and usually runs from me when I pull out an outfit for her. But I'd love for her to have a cute dress and a matching bow. She does wear a topknot and I've been working on building my BowBiz collection in girl colors. ;)

She really doesn't play with toys like her brothers and is most happy :dogzzz: or chasing :bunnysmiley: Let's not talk about :bunnysmiley:

She likes small crunchy treats. Also dried fruits and veggies like sweet potato are her favorites.

Clothing style is pretty much up in the air since she really doesn't have a lot of clothes. Since she's not big on clothes smaller bows and ruffles would be best. They do not need D-rings.

She looks great in animal prints, red and dark pinks.

Pebbles would love to have a new bed that would fit inside her crate. She loves her crate and will go inside to sleep during the day. So a fluffy rectangular bed would be perfect.

Yorkies’ Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style –Tuffy likes toys that squeak, rattle, talk, bark, or make other cool noises. An interactive toy would be fabulous. He’s spoilt rotten when it comes to treats but we don’t give him any made in China anymore (he had a really bad intestinal bug & we think it was China chicken). He loved love a new Himalayan chew. He’s a real casual dawgie when it comes to clothes. His birthday is in just a few weeks!

Tuffy is a semi-retired trucking dawgie; he’ll go with DH over the road occasionally. Tuffy became a big brother to Bella a few months ago & she doesn’t like the semi-truck, so now I stay home. I make dog sleep sacks & beds as well as bows too but it’s nice to have a variety. We use Madan brushes & combs & are set for harnesses. It’s pretty hot already here in Florida so please, think lightweight if you chose clothing for him (I’ve wrestled with myself at least a hundred times about cutting his hair short *sigh*). We hope you have a good time finding little stuff you think he may like. Whatever you decide to do is fine with us but we INSIST you have fun; no stressing over what to get him. These were just a few ideas of what we already use or have so that you don’t feel you’ve wasted energy, time, or money…after all; it’s all about the FUN! J

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) – She usually wears an extra small- unless the brand is known to run very small. Going by measurements is the best bet though.

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style – Chloe has MVD so we have to be careful with treats, she can’t have bully sticks or rawhide, or anything too high in protein, we try to stick to fruit, veggie, peanut butter, chicken, or fish based treats. She LOVES treats though, she likes buddy biscuits, dehydrated sweet potato, banana, and apple, sojos good dog treats, any dehydrated veggie, chicken , or fish, she has been dying to try the new tilapia tidbits from one of the vendors here, just as some examples. She is a girly girl- although she tends to wear simple clothes like hoodies, or causal dresses- if its too elaborate she is uncomfortable and won’t move. She loves toys, anything with a squeaker and small rubber balls tend to be favorites, or those toys that make crinkly noises.

Yorkie's favorite colors – Chloe looks good in almost any color, but she loves pink, purple, and leopard print most of all.

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat) – Chloe cannot have bully sticks, rawhide, tennis balls or rope toys and doesn’t like Fruitables treats, Chloe cannot wear collars, we also do not keep a topknot in, so Chloe cannot wear bows :(. Anything else is fine. Chloe is such an easy going little girl- she will be happy with anything you pick out for her. Most importantly she wants to know that you had fun shopping for her and tried to pick things you thought she would enjoy. If there is something you and your Yorkie can’t live without, maybe we don’t know what we are missing! Chloe loves beds and blankets, especially if they are soft or tent like, she likes toys, she LOVES wearing clothes, so basically she isn’t too hard to please. She LOVES personalized items so that her brother can’t steal them..
