Sitting this one out
 

Guys, it's killing me but I'm going to sit this GE out. I've overdone Taffy's Christmas and birthday and need to put the brakes on my spending for a bit. Well,that's at least part of it.

I also need to reorganize things around here because I've gotten so scatter-brained that during the last GE I found myself ordering things I already had bought but put aside and forgotten. I'm going to take a breather and just enjoy your posts this time then hopefully be back at the next one. Unfortunately, my breather is going to involve housework on my part. Ye gads!

In the county where I taught, some ladies have begun a dog shelter and are operating it totally on donations. I think I'm going to use this GE period to collect stuff as I reorganize and donate some things to them. Evidently it does me no good to pre-order before I know my buddy because instead of growing smaller, my "stash" of dog stuff is growing larger and is getting to the point of the unmanageable. Once I get this "mess" under better control, I'll be participating again.

I really enjoy the GE and especially enjoy the "getting to know" you better part. (I won't lie and say I enjoy the hints because I struggle and stress over them...LOL) Actually, I even enjoy reading them...just not trying to write them...I think it's because I'm not good at it...LOL

Have a good GE...I'll be watching and enjoying as a spectator this time but rest assured, I will be back!

Sorry to hear you're not participating! I totally understand where you're coming from, and actually thought about sitting this one out too since I tend to overdo everything!!! :rolleyes: But, I can't help it!!! We had so much fun for the last one, and can't wait to find out who our SB is! Oh Debbie... I am totally heartbroken... we have been doing these GEs together since we got our babies! But I TOTALLY understand. You have to do what is best for you. I know that I can always count on you. ;)

Taffy was always hard to buy for b/c that gal has EVERYTHING! ;)

I think your idea to sit out and donate instead is a wonderful idea!;)

Awww well we'll miss you but we totally understand! In fact, I respect that you know when you need to slow down and organize. I wish I could do the same!! :)
