| I like fruit None of this fruit is for sale, and I am trying to draw inspiration from it. Should I make a fruit and veggie quilt using fabrics of fruits???

| I love fruit!! Michelle, I have a question for you. I just started machine quilting. The manual for my machine says not to do reverse stitches with the walking foot. Do you use a walking foot and do you do reverse stitches to reinforce the seam with it?

When I finish my quilt top, I stay stitch around the entire top about 1/8" in, and that keeps all my seams from coming apart. The binding will cover this line of stitching. Keep in mind though, I use a quilting table for the larger quilts and they get pulled and stretched, so I want to make sure none of my seams pull apart in that process. When I do smaller quilts, I use my machine and the fix stitch. I also free motion quilt a lot. The reason not to reverse with the walking foot is because the teeth in it don't know how to reverse like the feed dogs (bottom) do.

Maybe I will make the fruity quilt and send it to Ann! P.s. I owe you a quilt and as soon as I get caught up with orders, I will get it made. Every time I finish a quilt order and ship it out, I get 2 more, which is good for business, but not so good for the personal projects I'm working on.

| I get bored sitting there talking to myself. Not to mention when my husband catches me doing it, he gives me funny looks. I've heard all my gossip. Twice. I need new material lol.
