| attaching a d-ring What do you use when attaching a d-ring? On the dress I made Chloe, I just used the same fabric. Is there something else stronger I could use? Thanks

| Ya know, I read that post and even commented on her harnesses. I guess it didn't dawn on me until you mentioned it that she did say that. Ok, I'm not fully awake yet. lol Thanks so much

| a lot depends on where you attach the d ring, in some of the dresses where they are attached at the waist you can use a ribbed type belting material, similar to the nylon webb material used in dog leashes, it's pretty heavy duty. Aymee knows of a place on ETSY where they sell them in a lot of colors, Joann's also sells some by the yard, just not as many colors to choose from. Perhaps Aymee will post the link, LOL I lost it.

| yes for those vests that's what I do, I really want to make sure not only the fabric strip that the D ring is sewn to is strong, but that the whole area around the D ring is strong, otherwise the d ring and strip could pull off. that's why some people sew it at the waist, since you often have the double seam and skirt layer all coming together. I would do that with my vests, but since they are longer than the bodice of a dress is I was afraid the D ring would be to low down the back.

good web site, thanks for the info. I have been thinking about making a small purse to match some of the vests, they have a lot of hardware for that. Also LOOK at all the colors of Velcro they have. I have been looking for more color choices of Velcro. I buy the wide for the most part and then cut into strips if needed thanks again http://www.strapworks.com/Hook_Loop_...brands_p/v.htm
