| Baby's Sweet 16 (weeks) We found a droopy oleander branch on our walk this morning. I snapped a pic and we darted off before she was tempted to nibble. Baby Sweet 16 200.jpg |

Hopefully she'll be get the vet's clearance next week so that she can walk on the ground. When that day comes, we're not quite sure what behavior to expect. She's been set on some "safe" grass only twice--both times little Dutch just laid down, sniffed and took a nibble. I estimate she has spent less than 10 seconds on turf! I did get a clicker and have told the neighbors not to worry if they hear someone in the neighborhood clicking away at 430 a.m,--it will just be me trying to figure that out. Having her recognize edibles that are portable is another challenge we hope to overcome this week. She recognizes snap peas, blueberries and petite green beans--all frozen--as treats. She consistently turned her nose up at Honey Nut Cheerios. This week we are working with regular Cheerios and a "natural" peanut butter commercial treat. When she hits the ground, the fun will come no doubt come with tender memories of how much our late senior sweetie enjoyed this of that bush, plant, leaf, etc. I expect to find a few tears tears mixed in with all the smiles and laughter. Thank you again. --KatysMom

| Baby in Awe Pleased to report that we got some rain last night. Yeah. For our second walk this morning, we headed to the park to find the water diversion section with quite a lot of water. Baby was in AWE .... Baby in Awe 200.jpg |

| LOL I can see that lil mind just ticking away lol, ohhhhh what mischief I am going to get in once I get some freedom lol. Little Miss Dutch is just too sweet. Thank you for all the pics you share with us, they put a smile on my face with each I see and brings back many memories of my now passed girls and their puppy days.

Our weather has turned (not as hot), so we have been taking quite a few walks every day. Lil Dutch has learned that if she rolls on her back in the stroller, folks will ooh and ahh--then rub her belly. She's taken belly rubs to a whole new level of fun. So far, our attempts to video her haven't panned out. She'll be doing something very cute, but if anyone stands to hold the iPhone in shoot mode, she'll stop dead in her tracks as though to pose. We may set up a nanny cam and try to catch her in the act. Wish us luck and thank you again--KatysMom

It is a little magical--everything is new to her. I've begun pushing the stroller off the walk so that she can investigate some of the foliage. Have to be a bit selective, because she sniffs and then wants to nibble. She's sleeping right now--looks so innocent. Rain is in this evening's forecast. I'm sure we'll be back at the park in the morning. Thank you again. --KatysMom

| Perfecting the Water Dance Look It has taken her some practice to get just the right look. Sigh. If she has this down by Halloween--we won't need a costume. Latest Water Dance.jpg |
