| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | This is one of the saddest posts I have read on YT in a long time. The puppy should have died in his crate, or ex-pen or in his mama's arms--not alone on the cold floor. RIP little pup. And I have to agree with the poster who said if you can't afford to take your pet to the vet, you shouldn't own the dog. There were so many excellent rescue suggestions here. |

I have met a couple of the fosters over the internet and the phone and they are loving, incredible angels.

| i know i was mean and i'm sorry for the loss but i'm sorry because of the puppy and i'm not sorry for the owner. that type of carelessness is beyond my understanding and i just cannot sit here and pretend to boo hoo and have sympathy for the owner when he/she shouldn't have ever had a dog if they couldn't or is it wouldn't? take care of it. that's horrible, it breaks my heart and i think it's awful this even had to happen. |

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Dog owner's responsibility: Your pet didn't ask to be bred or bought by you, They come into this world all brand new, and only hope and wish for a person who they can love, totally, unconditionally. They don't care if you always have a bad hair day, or dress in sweats, or look funny or smell funny. They are your companion. They will never leave you sick and alone, never say a word that cuts to the bone, never criticize or suppress you. When you take on a dog or a cat, it is for their lifetime, not for your convenience. Some dogs get sick as a result of a genetic disorder, some dogs play or fall and break a bone, but still it is your responsibility to provide the best of care for your little one. And then sometimes the owner makes a mistake, they step on a foot and break it, a pup jumps or falls out of their arms and is hurt. So you have caused this injury, you are doubly responsible for caring for this pup until well. If you can't afford to, then surrender it, but do your best to keep it safe until then. They are not JUST a DOG.

| Even tho I have tried, I do not have to prove anything to you guys. But I think it's been enough and your point has been brought across. Only God knows what really happen that night and my conscious is clear because I did try my best although it was not my dog I did as much as I can but everything happens for a reason so only god knows why he let that happen. I just want everybody to know I did not choose to put the dog down . The time he was alive I did the most I can , and all u guys that have money it easy to say to take the dog to the vet n pay $3000 to cure him. So your saying if u don't have atleast $20,000 saved up don't have a dog? A dog is the best company, u said it! So when u buy a dog u never expect or hope for these things. Just like if u break a leg and don't have insurance. The dog was not in horrible condition when I took him to the vet when he just came from colombia ,the vet said there is nothing he can do and he will just be a special dog for the rest of his life. But I know it's easy to say that u will stay home at all times and keep the dog under supervision, that's why u all say it. But for those who do have to work don't really have a choice. And as u see I did try to surrender him, it was just a coincidence that everything happen under the same timing. So I would appreciate if all of u don't have anything nice to say, keep it mouth shut cuz it's gonna hit u twice as hard if something like that happens to u. It's been really hard on us and I don't ask for it sympathy but I didn't want it to happen this way so I don't ask for your rudeness either. Last edited by bellita07; 12-24-2010 at 03:42 PM. |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | When you post on a public forum, you are going to get all sorts of opinions. It also needs to be kept in mind that the opinions given here aren't just for you, but for the next person who comes along that may be in the same situation and can learn from it. Bottom line, the concern here is for the dog. Since we are charged with their care the second we take them in to our lives, then it's our responsibility to make sure that they get all the care they need for the rest of their lives.
