they are very cute, but can I ask why did you breed a 20lb and 10lb yorkie?

As far as breeding them, it was done with the hope of having a couple. My parents lost their dog several months ago, and they love mine, so asked if we would consider letting our dogs have a litter so that they could have a baby from ours. We got a few more than we expected...NINE survived out of eleven, which is why I am trying to find good homes for our last babies.

But a twenty pound female should not be bred at all she is so out of standard and a ten pound male is the same. Hopefully, your parents got what they wanted and you will have these two spayed and neutered. Good luck finding homes for your babies.

Steph, I have been reading your threads from the get go. Things happen, the babies are sooooooo cute. I'm sure someone will be willing to give these bundles of love a wonderful home. Good luck to you:)

We are fully aware that these are out of standard....since they are obviously not show dogs or the like, and are simply beloved pets, I honestly don't see what the big deal is.

Yes, my parents absolutely adore the 2 babies that they took, as does one of my good friends who took one for her daughters. As well as the 5 others that we have found loving homes for.

And, though it really is none of your concern, they are being fixed. Have a good evening.

I love my 13 pound boy and wish yorkies were a bit bigger sometimes!! I wish they would raise the standard just a bit. And if I could, I'd snatch up one of these girls in a heartbeat :)

I hope this doesn't come off as being mean, but why are you breedin to just be breeding???
Somebody who just get's some random dogs and starts breeding them, no offense to you as a person, but you shouldn't be breeding yorkies at all. First of all, you are only breeding pet yorkie dogs. Those yorkies could have came from anywhere, like a puppymill, petstore, random person over the internet... So are you supporting this? The only dogs people should be breeding are champion dogs, but there are some exceptions. People should only breed to the dog's breed standard and therefore, only to better the breed. Do you know all the lines in the puppy's five-generation pedigree? There's no telling if that puppy will have health problems in the future, because you probably don't even have any idea what your dog's health would be in ten years! I know people who pay $5,000-10,000 a year for their single dog's vet bills. Those dogs are not from reputable breeders who breed for healthy pups either. Why else would somebody be purposefully making puppies in this world where there are shelters and rescues full homeless adorable puppies longing for a warm home and a loving owner? WHY! For money? Because you think puppies are "cute"? I understand that your parents "like" your dogs, but honestly, that is not a good enough reason to be breeding. I'm sure they would love any dog in the shelter!

Whoa, whoa Briana, don't you have a puppy you are trying to rehome that is way below weight standard???? What is the difference? I hope this little girl finds a wonderful forever home, perhaps there is a mommy out there that has children that REALLY wanted a yorkie but new they are normally to little for a family, well here is the perfect dog for you!! Everyone that has a Teapot seems so happy with the fact that they are not as fragile , Im sure someone will be soo very happy with this little girl. My mistake - It is NOT Briana that has a yorkie for sale. She had just posted under that posting with a small yorkie - I apologize....once again, that was my mistake.

I agree. People ask me all the time if they know where they can get a larger Yorkie like my Daisy. She is 14 lbs and I could not ask for a better dog. I love teapots!

I think this thread was to find home's for her Puppies Not for everyone to share there opinion's.
It's done So there's no reason to bring it up She said there getting spayed So leave it alone.

Steph...the girl in the top pick is adorable...and they BOTH look like such happy babies. Are they? I have 3 12#, 9# & 6.5# & I love every pound of them.
As for being out of standard. This WAS standard until they were bred down.

Yes, all of the pups are happy, healthy, playful and loving. Thank you for mentioning the fact that Yorkies were bred down....and the original size for the breed is actually much larger than the "standard" now.

I wasn't even going to reply to this ridiculousness, but the more I think about it the more angry I get. How DARE you accuse me of trying to make money off of these puppies. I'll have you know that I have not made one cent of profit from these babies. In fact, after vet bills, food and supplies, grooming, etc, I have spent MORE than what has been paid to me for puppies. Not to mention that 4 of them went to their new homes free of charge.

And for the record...my parents LOVE my dogs, and they love their dogs, and you have no business questioning the fact that they didn't go to a shelter.

I thought this site was for us to come together to share our Yorkies, and love for them. A place that we could tell stories and seek advice. Apparently I was wrong.

Having 11 dogs in the house is probably just what you can imagine! Crazy, hectic, and chaotic, but oh so much fun! lol

Thank you to all of those who have supported me in my effort to rehome this last little one. I appreciate all of the words of advice and encouragement more than I can say.

Your puppies are cute! I am sure that your parents and friends will love these snugglers. My Mom has one of my puppies that turned out over standard size and she enjoys him so much. He is lots of company for her. Best of luck placing your last two!!
