I've never done a benched show, but am curious. Maybe I should go to one to watch first before I sign my boy up for an all day adventure. He's such a curious boy he would never relax and rest, so I am afraid that it would wear him right out. |
Jackie, Stay the weekend at Shari's and drag her along to. I don't have to worry about Cruz getting Antsy he will either sleep or give out kisses all day. Plus with some of our friends going we will have a great time. |
That's a bit far to drive back and forth everyday when you have to be there that long. With my tight schedule due to classes I think that would be too exhaustive for me. Now that I'm in classes I have to pick and choose more carefully...can't wait til May...lol! |
It would be a drive for you. Maybe when your done with school. I am so excited I love the benched shows. It is the best opportunity to educate the public. |

Yes it is a good way to educate the public, but I prefer the open shows, where we set up breed booths, you know the shows that have MEET THE BREEDS day incorporated into the showing. This way as a team you can man the booth, and see to the needs of a potentially fractious dog. |
Here is the schedule for Cobo. Saturday there are 12 Yorkies entered we will be in ring 4 at 10:30am Sunday ring 6 at 11:30am Yorkies are benched in row 3 section A |
I think we're going on Saturday - unless I decide to be lazy and stay home. Should be a fun day. :) If I'm remembering right from a couple years ago, we'll be bringing our own food bc the stuff at Cobo isn't very appetizing.:cool: Think I'll link this in general discussion. We have so many MI people here and I hope some more of them are going to go. |
You definitely need to stop by and see us. I will be the one with the lavender colored Table cover. |
The Yorkies were all beautiful. :) Cruz gives the best little kisses. |
