The cars everyone drives to shows just depends on what works to carry their supplies, dogs etc. There is no right or wrong, we all have the choice of what we like best and carries our cargo the best. We were just looking at cars and crossovers this past week and I told the sales man (he was actually a very young man had only been there one month) I was impressed with the fact he listened to what I was saying about space for my crates. I just so happened to have a bigger crate with me than I ever have. He came to me and said are you sure your crates will fit in this crossover you are looking at. VBG he impressed me for the fact he was indeed listening to what I said I needed and was keeping that in mind. Some don't really listen to our needs they just want to sell a car. We didn't make a decision that day, because I keep thinking IF I ever have to evacuate etc. I need a BIG RIDE :) Also we do take some people with us from time to time to shows and its nice to have that extra space. But the gas mileage has made us consider what IF we could go smaller. I am sure I would rather keep the SUV myself. But we will see. Deana Prestigeous |

What I have found is they are charging so much more for the hybrids that there goes your gas savings in paying more for the hybrid. Thats when I started thinking just keep the one we have.. lol and deal with it. Deana Prestigeous |

We have such a large family that seating was a huge priority for us. We ended up with a Honda Pilot. It has fabulous gas mileage and when we go to shows all the seats fold down and there's TONS of space. I absolutely love it! |

I bought a trolley that has 2 built in crates (side by side) and a grooming table on top. It is nice but too big for my needs. If someone wants to buy it, I will give a good deal. Here is the link http://www.hydrogroom.com/dogshow.html. I have started using aluminum camping tables at ring side and it has made my life so much easier. I can carry 3 of them in one hand. |

3 Attachment(s) I like the hydo-groom. But for now my hubby made our cart. It carries everything to site and then we can set up the table on the cart with 2 carriers/crates and all and move it around if needed. Here are some photos of it. It is super easy to pull and goes through sand too! :) The pictures only show one carrier on it for now. T. |

Stroller/Grooming Table Hi There, First time post and I think I can really help on a few thoughts on the stroller product. First of all I probably have referred dozens of people to the www.mardelgroomingtables.com site to purchase these strollers. I carry their cards with me to the shows and just give people their business card. It makes it easier. I have had mine for over a year now and still think it is the best thing since sliced bread. If you are going to put one of the wire crates on the bottom there is only one size that will fit exactly. Mary Ann (Owner) will give you the name of the company to order from. I show Havanese and own a pet Yorkie. My big boy Havanese of 14 pounds would came to the back of the table to give me a kiss and the stroller fell over two times. I bought those orange bumpers from a Tractor Trailer Sales company. Small, orange and not heavy enought to weigh down the front of the stroller. So, my husband drilled a hole in each of them and poured concrete in the holes and TaDa, problem solved. So, do not put your heavy utensil bags on the back end of these. Now, on to the next thing. The crate you are going to use on the top of the other crate can be one of the plastic carry crates but small. OK for you with Yorkies. My friend found another wire crate that fits perfectly on top but is smaller so we carry our 6-9 months there. We took the bag that secures to the handles off because secure is the wrong word. It isn't. (Secure) Plus it just adds more weight on the back. The netting that was meant for all of the beach items is semi-important. The only thing I use it for is to secure my purse, camera, keys from falling off the stroller and keeping it somewhat concealed since the grooming table top is over it, which makes it hard to reach anything under there. Although, you cannot use it if you are going to have two crates on the stroller. My friend cut hers off. I still do not want to do this. The umbrella holder comes in handy also. Now all that is needed is a cup holder. I lay my chair on top of the crate as we are wheeling in set it up and done...... This is probably more info than you ever wanted to know. Enjoy! Tell them Rita M. sent you. Now, teach me how to persuade my 6 year old Yorkie from barking. mardel@excel.net |
Beachstuf.com I saw this also, I wonder if this would work with some modifications? It looks light weight. I walk with braces so I definitely need lightweight without it being unsteady. Any opinions on this one? It is at beachstuf.com.....if the link doesn't work. |
I am getting lots of ideas from all of these posts. My grooming arm is a little heavy. Do I just cut the bottom (I don't need it that long) or order a more lightweight one later on? Where do I find a lightweight one? My grooming table is light. The arm that I have now is nice, but I was wondering about traveling with it. I'm sure that I will use it until I find out what I like about my equipment and what I don't like. I'm thinking about getting the cart from harbor frieght and strapping everything down. My dad has some nice fishing carts. I'll have to see where he found them and at what price. |

here's a web site that California Exhibitors are getting their carts from. A lightweight foldable grooming arm can be purchased at dog shows and a few dog show supply websites. |
Does someone know where to get that Stroller/ 2yorkies crates/grooming table top/umbrella/chair Cart all-in-one, that the first post talked about? updated model ? Please please please ? |

No Maximo, i was looking for a more updated model with fabric and mesh crate(s) incorporated, like the strollers for babies, but for dogs, and WITH the top grooming table, wheels with brakes, umbrella and chair support Its a all-in-one station, all you (I) need in a light compact perfect form. If I dont find it, then I will go for mardelgroomingtables, but it looks so fragile! |
