Someone go and get her if she hasn't gone already!!!!

Adoptions start at 10AM. She was just listed today (6/13/06) and we have a mailbox full of messages. If you are interested you can go to the shelter at 10 or call at 8AM. 631-643-9270. Adoptions are $70.50 cash.

I actually don't work in the kennels so I haven't spent much time with her. I picked her up though from a town resident who found her running on Belmont Ave. in North Babylon. She is pretty small, probaly 10 pounds or jus under. She has lots and lots of hair though. It is weird that with all that hair she is not matted or knotted and still nobody looked for her. She seems to be healthy, but we don't have a vet on staff. You need to bring her to one within 7 days of adoptiing. I don't know how she is with other dogs, but you can bring yours and they can meet outside on leash

Then I called this morning:
She was still there but 10am is open adoptions and it is first come first serve. They don't know much about her. Someone found her and no one has claimed her. She is small with lots of hair (no matts, they thought was odd). They don't know her age.

Rescue picked her up first thing this morning and the little girl has a new wonderful home!

It is so sad to think that this little girl was lost and her family didnot find her!

Oh I am soooooooooo happy!!!

She definatley was lost - HOW SAD - I can not believe her 'old' family did look for her! I would have called every shelter on Long Island until I found her...HOW SAD!!!

I knew she would be gone in a second, I hope her 'new' family loves her so much and makes her so happy! Happy Endings are SO GREAT!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
