| Donating YT 500 Club Member | Ok – I’m going put in my two cents then I’ll be quiet ( or at least try)! I’ve not been a member long so I may be overstepping my bounds but - What kind of person projects themselves as a “rescue” then proceeds to have a rescue put down? She gets on here and toots her own horn about all she has done but has not gone the distance from what I can tell. IMO when you take in a rescue without knowing the full background you are committing yourself to do everything in your power to help this poor baby – and she KNEW there were issues. If you KNOW you don’t have the resources to help then let someone who can do it. Yes – there may have been an expense in getting her to someone who is willing to help her - but if you’re not aware of all that it can cost, both financially and emotionally then you shouldn’t be doing it. Not to mention – I have had to have a feral cat put down due to illness and that wasn’t free. So she is willing to pay to have her put down, but not to get her help??? My gosh – on 5/19 she posted to a thread about someone wanting to place their Chihuahua because it nips. Her response was “Have you tried a trainer? You would be amazed how much a good trainer can help. Or even obedience training with a certified trainer ONLY”. When I got Bridget – from a rescue – I was told there maybe behavioral issues, and was asked up front what my plans were if they were to become an issue. I knew at that point I would have to be prepared emotionally and financially for the long haul. I can’t help but wonder if her own developed issues – would she then find the time and funds for the help it needs. I think it takes a special person to adopt a pet with special needs – commitment and dedication, and a whole lot of love. I think she has healthy dogs at home and never really bonded with this little girl like someone who truly WANTED her would have and would have gone the distance. Maybe her intentions were good – but her good intentions and poor follow-throughs may have cost this little girl her life – I could go on and on – but won’t – it is just very upsetting! I think especially after reading some of her posts and thinking she was sincere about getting Mindy help at any cost – I PM’d her and expressed my sympathy for how hard I thought this had to be for her…I guess she had me fooled. Thanks for letting me vent.

| This really is a heart breaking situation. It hits home especially hard for me. Unless EVERY option is exhausted, please don't destroy your dog. There is something wrong with Mindy, WORK to find it. If you can not afford to have all the testing and behavior specialists then give her to someone who can. They may find that nothing can be done for her, but they may find a simple fix that you can't. Don't give up on Mindy, she deserves better than that.

| I am saddened and disapointed that Mindy will be put to sleep. Mommadog gave me the impression she was going to try everything to get Mindy the help she needed. She obviously had me fooled. I wish people would leave the rescuing to legitimate rescues. A breeder had no business rescuing

I know exactly what you mean. She followed me around correcting me about training issues. I don't know if she was just trying to pull me into this web of disaster and playing with all of our emotions. This is just a horrible rescue disaster lead of Mommadog's lack of responsibility. Right in the very beginning, LJ offered to help but the offer was refused since Mommadog felt she could take care of this herself and was "experienced". There has been months of drama going on with Mindy and never once did she get the proper attention and the issues with her kept escalating. She continues to breed more puppies even while she had Mindy in her home with behaviors that where escalating. She has 2 litters of puppies in her home yet claims she has NO MONEY to ship MINDY but knows what the cost would be to ship HER PUPPIES . All of this information that she has offered within threads on YT and are not things that are being imagined by any of us.

I'm wondering why she has a $400 electric bill? My monthly electric bill is $50. What's she powering with that kind of bill her entire block It sure wasn't just her home. Makes you say hmmmmm

| Aren't rates different in different areas? My bill is around $50 too. That's a family of 5 with 1 little girl that spends all day on her laptop. I'd fall over if the bill was ever $400!!!

| Is it because it's hot in your area? That just sounds insane compared to what we pay.

| I don't think she is really going to put her to sleep. I think she said that out of frustration because she just didn't know what to do. At least I hope not. She cared enough to take her in and work with her up until now and I don't honestly think she will put her down. I really don't.

| You live in TX and run your air when it's 115 outside. She lives in WA where that would not be necessary. Maybe I am just thinking too hard.

| This makes me so sad. She looks like my Maddy. I would be willing to pay to help transport her to a trainer as well. Please reconsider -- please |
