| Hi Welcome to YT. There are a couple of things you can look into. The first is Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. Type in your area and then type in Yorkie and it will pull up all the Yorkies in your area for adoption. You can also check out Save A Yorkie. I believe that is in the PA area. Other's may have the name of more rescue to look into. It's great that you are looking into adopting. You can't go wrong. You not only take in a dog that may not otherwise find a home and you also save a lot in doing so because when adopting the fee covers the spay or neuter as well as shots. Generally the fee to adopt is between $275 (For older) and up to around $500 for a puppy. I rescued my Lilly at 13 weeks through Burlington Animal Alliance. She was 13 weeks old and her fee was $400 which covered as I said her spay, shots, vetting and her heartworm preventative. Best of luck to you. Elaine |
