I need something for Teddy and London

To hold them in my bike basket. My mom invented this thing for Teddy from a sleeve that has four strands because he tries to jump out of the basket. The four strands tie to each end of the basket so he doesn't move but it's not strong enough. London stays perfectly still so I just attach her leash but with Teddy beside her he kinda pushes her and the other day she fell out, so she was just kinda dangling there. Teddy gets nervous and stands up, and this cloth thing doesn't really work cause it's too thin, it can break. I need something hard and sturdy that will keep him in. The other day he jumped out and I had to stop cause he was also hanging. The harness alone didn't do the trick. Can anyone help? This is the thing my mom made...I think I need a hard material kinda like what lifevests have.

What about getting the tethers used in the Snoozer car seats to attach to their harnesses? You can strap the tether around the basket loops wherever you want to. If you secured them to the bottom of the basket and then clipped onto their harness, they shouldn't be able to even get knocked out of the basket........

if both have secure harnesses on, all you need is a type of short leash with a snap ring on each end . .secure it to a few bars on the basket with both ends clipped to their d-rings :thumbup: I can make you one if you want :rolleyes: - no charge of course :thumbup:

What are tethers? I have never seen them before..:confused:

Yea I was thinking something with the harnesses but of course Idk how to do it lol That would be great if you can make them, but I'm confused as to what you mean. You're so sweet but I can pay you of course. I would feel bad taking them for no charge.

Des is speaking of the tether attachment as well. If you go to Ebay and look for Snoozer Lookout Carseats, they many times will have the extra attachments there. I know that Shana also sells them at Tinkerbell's Closet. Basically, is it made out of the leash material (about 1.5 or 2" wide) and it clips around the seatbelt with a parachute-type plastic clip - it is adjustable as to the length - and then it has a leash hook that would clip onto the "D" ring of your babie's harness. It could easily wrap securely around the spokes of the bike basket.

ooohh ok I know what they are now..thank you!! Let me go look at Ebay now...:)

I make strong/lightweight adjustable tethers to your specifications. They run $5.50 each including shipping. You can select from any of the silk colors I offer (see the silk harness thread). The tethers are actually short leashes that attach to a "d" ring on a harness.

if you put a regular harness (not the step in kind) on the dog upside down, so that the D ring is on their belly (instead of their back) then clip it to a very short tether attached to the bottom of the basket - then they can't fall out and dangle. Make it just long enough that they can sit up in the basket. That's what I do.
