| Doggie shoes? Does anyone put doggie shoes on their babies? And if you do, do they mind walking in them? I would love to take Regan for walks around the neighborhood and such, but every time I mention it to my mom she reminds me that Regan has never really set foot on pavement. She goes outside, but she's always in the grass. She says the pavement will tear up the pads of her feet (especially now that it's summer and it's so hot. it was 95 degrees here yesterday & too hot to set foot outside!). I'd be more than happy to buy some shoesies for her, but I don't want her to be miserable in them.

| I don't let my girls walk on hot pavements, i keep them on grass or indoors. I have seen how the paw pads can get burnt, i don't ever want to put them through that again!!

| Oscar doesn't go outside on super hot days - too much for him. I usually walk him in the early evening when it's cooled down some. I want to get some shoes/boots for him for next winter, but I don't know how he'll take to them.

| I have chloe walk in shoes all the time. It takes a little bit for them to get used to them. CHloe does great in shoes and she has all sorts and by the second time I had her wearing shoes she had it down

| Mitzi doesn't like to walk without her booties anymore. I make them myself by cutting the fingers off 'Brahma' garden gloves and fix them with an elastic band with some velcro at the ends. They are really comfortable because they have no seams inside. Also they have rubber dots to prevent sliding on slippery floors. Another 'plus' they are cheap about $1 per set. |
