| ID tags - engraved on both sides? Hi. Where can I buy dog tags (just plain ones, bone shaped and heart shaped etc.), that are engraved on both sides? I have to fit about 14 letters on it (the name of my street) .. With 2-3 lines on each side. They have to fit on a cat collar, and I have to be able to buy them on etsy, amazon, ebay etc. that I can pay with paypal and send to Iceland ! I can't buy tags where I live they cost way to much, one tag costs about 30 dollars here :P Do you know of anything??

a couple of suggestions. You can omit the street address and just add your phone number or you can also purchase TWO tags so you are able to include all of the information. I know Boomerang Pet Tags: Guaranteed to last. Mailed today, Free Shipping. does engrave both sides. The slide on tags are my favorite! They have a lifetime guarantee for about $10

| Nice ! thanks I'll take a look at that I can only spend about 20$ for 3 pets. On all them I need to include the name (Fido, Skuggi and Kría are their names), my phone number that has 7 numbers, street name that is 13 letters and for the dog I was wondering of having the name of my town and his registration number too, but only two phone numbers (both 7 numbers each), name and street on the cats. And I need to get the seperate tags, I need one to say ''dyraaudkenni.is'' (name of an icelandic website that has all microchipped animals registrated on it, you can put the number there and find everything about the pet) and then I need it to have the microchip numbers on it too, in the other side Are there any cheaper tags??

| I can't spend 10$ on one tag, because I have to buy 6 tags ! :P Each can cost about 5$ , they don't have to look special they just have to do their job

| That is a lot of info for one small tag. My vet suggests less cluttering info and more pertinent, immediate acting info (such as phone number or vets office number). Cluttered tags are also difficult to read. You might want to consider omitting your street address. Just a suggestion. Good luck!!

| I'm going to get the bigger size for Fido I'm thinking of having 2 tags for each, I found cheap ones that only cost 0,25$ on Amazon: Custom Pet Id Tags - W/ Choice of Graphic and... Fido's tag will say Fido on the front, and under that his registration number (its only 4 letters) , and on the back 1 phonenumber (7 letters) and the address (12-13 letters), and 220 under that (the number of our town). I think it will be OK because it will be the bigger size Or is it too much?? The other tag will have only ''dyraaudkenni.is'' on it and on the other side his microchip number.

| Then I'll have the same for the cats but the name tag will only have the name, adress and my phonenumber It will be in the smaller size because they are smaller than Fido :P

Wow It's not like that here, here you don't even have to have tags on your animal, only have to have it microchipped. So I can have that tag like I want to But here though with dogs, if you register them in your hometown (you have to do that, otherwise the dog is illegal and if someone complaints your dog will be taken away after 1-2 chances) you have to have their registration number on a tag on the collar.

| If we chose to have tags, the info we put on them is totally up to our discretion.

| In the several instances where I have actually found a dog running the street that had a collar on it, the tags that had the vet office, the phone number of the owner...those were the things that got the dog back the fastest....I had one overnight, and one I had 3 days, simply because the owner was on vacation, had allowed her dtr. to "watch" her little dog"....and she watched her run away!!!! So I am big on owners phone number being on the tag. And of course, I am a huge advocate for microchipping....good for you, having that done.(I do not personally indicate the dog is microchipped, just in case someone has stolen the dog, if they KNOW there is a microchip implanted, they MAY be real stuipid and not take the baby to the vet even if she ever needs it, for fear they will get caught!) I don't remember knowing any dog that has been stolen, I remember one case that a chihuahua puppy was stolen, it was left tied down outside a house alone, not microchipped or anything, someone has wanted a chihuahua pup and taken it. That happened few years ago and I don't recall any other dog that has been stolen (and I'm alot into the ''dogworld'' here ). Many people here have their microchip number on the tags now, then people can see that they have a microchip, look them up on ''Dýraaudkenni'' the icelandic website for all microchipped pets, put the number in the search box and voila, everything about the dog there I think that is a great idea if for example no one is home if someone would bring him to the adress on the tag, and if I wouldn't answer the phone, then they could look it up on the internet and send me mail via facebook etc. I'm not always home, and those few times that my dog has ran away was when I was at my boyfriends a 1 hour drive away And I don't always have my phone on me, I often have it on silence etc., then people can check the microchip website.

| Perhaps to can buy the tags plain off of ebay and have them engraved locally?? I can understand the difference in requirements. Even in the US there are different requirements that vary widely.

It's so expensive having them engraved here, it costs ca. The ad I found on amazon said that she/he would engrave anything you want on the tags
