E-Collars By Mom to Hot Rod I ordered one of Bo's e-collars just in case I needed one. It looked like such a good idea! Little did I know I would need it the day after I got it in the mail! Skeeter was at the groomer and decided he was going to lick the groomer's freshly sharpened scissors which created a small razor like cut. Of course he bled and then started licking his leg. The more he licked the more it bled sending more blood on to his leg. A vicious circle to say the least. When I got him home I put on the Bo's ever-so-soft new collar to keep him for licking. It worked like a charm. Once he stopped licking his leg his tongue stopped bleeding. He was able to get drinks of water and play with the other pups without it bothering him. The fit is fine too. I tried it on all three of the yorkies and it is versatile enough to fit each one of them. I'm going to be sure to take it with him to the groomers from now on. She said Skeeter has always tried licking the scissors when she does his front legs and she was afraid this was going to happen one day. So there is a new use for these wonderful collars! Groomers will love them if they have wiggle worms like Skeeter to deal with! And Skeeter, who hates having anything on him didn't mind it a bit! Way to go Bo! You have an excellent product! |
I just got our collar on Saturday. It is so cute, and very well made. I ordered it to have on hand "just in case", too. Thank goodness you already had yours when you needed it! I hope Skeeter is all better. Bo, this is a great design! Thank you! |
Ouch, hope Skeeter doesn't go around lickin shiny objects no more! We ordered one of Bo's fab softee collars to have on hand also. It's awesome! |

thanks Lou! I hope little Skeeter is all better! Maggie has been trying to do this as well, I'll have to put a collar on her when I groom her. I never even thought about this! She is constantly trying to get at the scissors. :) |

Thank's y'all. Skeeter is doing fine. The cut stopped bleeding as soon as he stopped licking and tongue cuts heal quickly. Lisa, our groomer, said she has always had trouble with Skeeter when she does his front legs. I'm guessing that she will really love the collar! She felt so bad. DH picked the dogs up and before he even got home Lisa was on the phone to me apologizing she even teared up at one point but she was trying to hide it. She wouldn't accept payment for the grooming either. I don't blame her at all. I know what a handful that little fat dog can be! He tries to choke himself if you put the lead on him to hold him still so she has always groomed him one handed. The other hand has had to hold him still and keep him on the table. I had to take him to PetSmart one time and they took two groomers to do him! LOL But back to the main topic. I can tell you that Skeeter hates being confined and hates wearing clothes. To see him comfortable in Bo's soft e-collar was amazing. I think she puts some kind of spell on her product in addition to having a good design! LOL. Plus the fabric is ever so cute! I still need to get one for my shih tzu. |
thanks Bo! We too received our collar! We haven't had the need yet, but it is so cute I let Cissy put it on just to see how things would go. Her spay is scheduled for next week. May be silly, but I waited to schedule her spay until we recvd our collar. I just couldn't stand the thought of her wearing a lampshade when she could wear one of Bo's collars. :) Thanks Bo!! Cissy loves you! :D |
MJJ56, You made a wise decision! I wish I had had it when mine were fixed! |
