Which hair gel is best for controlling my furbaby's facial hair? Hi everyone I am looking for a strong hair gel for Tootsy as I am growing her hair for a top knot and it is very untidy at the moment with hair going in all directions! I still would like it to feel soft and look natural. Can anyone recommend a product? Luv Franceen xx |
i use cindra sculpting gel on Kash. but other's on YT use petsilk top knot gel, which is slightly more expensive. PetSilk Top Knot Gel - PetSilk Products Cindra Sculpting Gel: BowWowShop.com thanks! |
I just use a human hair gel on mine! Seems to work! |
I was using human hair gel, and Joey developed an eye ulceration. I don't know if it was due to the use of the product or not. With the human hair gel, little bits of hair would still come down and occasionally get in his eyes. After he had the ulceration, I stopped using the gel, and got Pet Silk Topknot Gel; it's totally different than human products that I've seen. It has a thick honey consistency and works perfectly holding those tiny hairs out of the way while we are growing them out, and no more eye problems. I found my Pet Silk on e-bay and it was only $15.00 including shipping. We had to take Joey to the emergency room for the eye problem, and you know how expensive that can be. |
Okay I'm a bit slow. Hair gel on the top knot? Please tell me how this works. It was driving me crazy that Brody's knot never really stayed so I cut it off. Now his bangs are growing out. I haven't decided if I should cut them again or let them go. TIA |

How cool...I have never even thought of using this for my babies! This would really help as I am letting Tatum's bangs grow out so that they can become part of her topknot, and they are always hanging down in her little eyes :( I try to secure them with a little barrette, but they always seem to fall down no matter what. I am going to have to give some of this stuff a try - thanks for this great thread! |
Thanks for explaining that. I never would have thought about it. Sounds like the way to go. /hugs |
