How many poops a day for your baby?
 
Bobby seems to poop at least 3, sometimes 5, times a day.. is that normal? How many times a day do your little babies go?

I'm just a bit concerned if it's something I'm feeding him.

How old is he. Puppies will poop many times a day. My older dogs poop twice a day.

Armani is 23 weeks (almost 6months) and poops morning and evening so twice. When I first got him he pooped about 3-4 times, then even more because he had giardia :( but now our schedule is wake and poop, and poop again sometime between 5:15-5:45 pm on the dot lol :)

Oh okay.. I wasn't sure if it was diarrhea or not so I was worried! I guess he's pooping pretty normal for his age. Just like a human baby, LOL!

Mine is 1 year old and poops 2 times aday.

lola is 5 months and poops in the am as soon as I get up with her then 1 or twice at night

Layla changes monthly :p some days 3x a day.. and since i've been home cooking it's either once or twice.... lately once...

Max poops probably 3-4 times a day. I feed him canned food in the early morning and he goes immediately after than and then I feed him his dry food in small amounts thru the day and another little bit of canned at 5pm. I know he goes once or twice more during the day at least. Sometimes more, but never less.

Marci, I noticed the same thing, homecooking regulated the poop :) I actually read a lot of your threads about homecooking and thats why I started. Also thanks to you and Wylies mom I started on missing link :)

I was worried that it was diarrhea but I guess it was pretty normal!

Oh, & should I have him Bobby on Missing Link? I've heard a lot about it on the forums. What does it do?

aww glad we could help! i remmeber when i changed Layla from her crap dog food to a high quality one the lady at the store told me that she would poop less because her body doens't have to much "Crap" to get rid of .. the ingredients are great so her body will keep them instead of getting rid of them. So this must be the same with home cooking, her body takes in more nutrients than it needs to get rid of... hence... less poop!

I think pooping a lot is normal for young puppies. The older het gets, he'll probably start pooping less often. Lacy normally only poops once a day but sometimes goes twice. Sometimes when we are out of our normal routine she'll skip a day of pooping. She's on a raw diet so she doesn't poop a lot when she does go

Conner would poop 2 - 3 times when he was a baby. Now, at 16 months, he poops once a day. Very rarely, he will poop twice. It is normal for a puppy to poop more.

Hallee will be two and Gracie will be three. They both go at least 2 times a day, maybe 3. We monitor how many times because if they don't go we get worried. It is funny, my hubby leaves for work before I do so I usually call him at work and ask if he picked up any poo this morning so I know if they went or not.

She eats twice a day and poohs twice a day and she's nine months old.

Interesting, Winston has to eat frequent meals to keep his sugar up...and yes the more often he eats the more he poops...3 or 4 times daily. The vet just put him back on puppy food (he's 3 years old) and he's to eat at least 4 times daily, smaller amounts, but more often...in hopes that he will no longer have hypoglycemic/seizures. Mind you, he is NOT a tiny Yorkie...he weighs in at around 7.8#...it's a mystery to me, but I'm determined to solve it.

He is still little, Kathy. Charlie's last weigh in was 10 lbs., and the vet gave me the look. He is eating Solid Gold wet & Orijen dry which is high protein. Need to cut back because it is dense although he poops twice a day; sometimes only once. Always firm and easy to pick up. Glad to hear Winston's frequent meals are helping his seizures. We need our kids to stay healthy.

Usually once a day (She's 12 months --just turned 12 months today=) ) but lately shes been pooping twice a day.


When she was younger 6 months... she pooped a lot.

How many times does your babies have to pee a day? Missy pee's a lot. At least 4-5 times. normal?

Ellie poops once a day and twice a day on occasion.
