London doesn't wanna eat! :(
 

This morning all she had was an egg white and she won't eat now. She also threw up a little twice, i guess the eggs. She only ate literally 1 piece of her kibble, it's so hard to get her to eat. I've been trying..let me try again

Sometimes Cali gets picky about how much she wants to eat..these are some things I do to try and change her mind..maybe something will work on little London??

-Moisten the kibble with water
-Microwave the moistened kibble
-Add yogurt on top
-Add cottage cheese on top
-Make her do tricks for her kibble..give it to her as a "treat"
-Add sprinkle cheese and melt it in the microwave.

If none of that works..try feeing her chicken/beef and rice with her kibble..

Thank you so much! She finally ate but only a couple pieces like always.I had to add 1/2 a capsule of fish oil cause she loves that and she licked it off then chilled for a little then ate it. Then she left the rest there and the only thing that makes her wanna eat is when Teddy gets near her food, then she will growl and eat it. I get worried sometimes cause she gets full after only 5 pieces of kibble, she will burp and act like her belly is full. She's little but i thought she would eat more. How big is Cali and does she eat a lot? London's so picky!

:D Bogey loves plain yogurt. Stonefield is all organic & good for them. He begs me to give him, even a little & he goes ballistic !! ( He gets 2 tsp. / day thinks he is in heaven !!):thumbup:

Good Im glad! She is such a tiny girl, I can see why you were worried! Do you free feed her? Maybe that would be a good idea so that way, when she gets hungry again, she has access to it. Im sure that it doesn't take too much to fill her up, but it wont last that long. Cali's about 5 lbs...she's gotten very spoiled. She wont eat just plain kibble. And, if were somewhere else for the night, she goes on a food strike or something. I dont want to bring yogurt or whatever I normally put on it at home, so I have to sit there and hand feed her piece by piece and make her do tricks for it or chase it! As long as food is in her belly, I dont care what I have to do! Im glad she finally ate for ya!

No I don't free feed her and the reason why is because I used to free feed my cavalier and he got fat! I mean he was like 10 lbs over weight and his poor little back legs stopped working on him :( And i heard if you control their eating they listen to you and you are the alpha. She usually eats when I feed her except i have to feed her one by one sometimes as if she were a baby, she will just sit and guard her food from Teddy but not eat. lol she's a funny little thing. And i also have to put fish oil on her food now, i guess that's why she didn't eat it, cuz i didn't put it. Of course ppl food she loves! lol It's true though when you make it a challenge for them to eat they want the food more, like throwing it a little :rolleyes:

I am so glad your beautiful little girl is eating more now. I hope she keeps it up!

I suspect that she might have read the thread about the $3000 Susan Lanci dress and she KNOWS she would look gorgeous in it...oh well. London, you look great in anything! Eat sweetie!

Dogs rarely have suicidal tendencies , she'll eat when she gets hungry . Sarah ( speaking from the point of view of someone who hand feeds when times get tough :D )

I agree they will eat when they get hungry. BUT you have to make sure she has somthing in her belly at all times with a tiny breed like this it takes no time at all for their blood sugar to drop. I also had to make eating a game...I use my older dog who eats ANYTHING (my piggy girl bella :D ) to entice Diggy. Shes always willing and when he sees her eat he's (typical kid) I WANT SOME!!! lol If you do not have another dog...I know this sounds gross but if you act like your eating it....either at the table or wherever you usually eat and get one of your bowls you eat out of (these dogs are smart!) get a spoon and pretend then reach over and hand feed your baby one....she may fall for it. Mine doooo!!! :p I tried anything due to diggy being hypo and when his sugar gets low he has seizures....Doesnt take long either. I also when he is being really stubborn offer Cheerios(honey nut or plain), Special K, or any other healthy cereal with no artificial sweetners. Im glad your baby is eating now....I am giving you what tactics I use and I am constsantly reading others cuz...man o man are these babies strong willed and smart...so I always have to have a few plans to get through the feeding times... Everyone has great ideas here and I am thankful for all the suggestions! :aimeeyork

Yea my 2 love yogurt also, anything that i eat they like lol They also get applesauce, cottage cheese :thumbup: :)

Thank you! Yes I saw that thread and although the dress is gorgeous I would never pay that much! lol Maybe if i was rich but even then i would rather give that to charity

yea she does and even barks when she gets hungry but sometimes she won't eat all day unless i make her :rolleyes:

I also use Teddy :p He never turns down eating so when she sees him eat she gets excited. I should get some cheerios for them too. Diggy is sooo cute btw!:)
