| Queston on water Hi! i use to feed my Bischon and yorkie Science Diet for sensitive skin and they seemed to like it ok but they really didn't drink much water at all. I would only fill the small water bowl once a day for both of the dogs. Since then I switched to Iams for toy and small dogs. Everytime they really seem to enjoy the food but as soon as they eat the food they drink all the water and I fill it up again for them to drink more. This happens twice a day since I feed them morning and night. Is this normal? I thought maybe the food is salty?? Maybe before on the Science Diet it was not normal to drink so little Any Suggestions |

| Well I noticed no one replied to you so I thought I'd say somethin First I would say that it sounds like thier water comsumption is more normal now than before? I'm not sure about either of the foods you have fed them because I have only used Innova and Royal Canine - sorry I can't offer anything more, but maybe check the ingredients and see what is different? If thier "potty" seems normal, I think they're ok ?!?

| I'd go to the diet and health section here and read about dog food. It is eye-opening. I changed from Eukanuba after reading it.

| I agee- the water consumption sounds normal but do a search on Iams and you'll probably want to switch. They have animal cruelty issues. Also dogs are usually better off with a wheat and corn free diet. Good luck!

| You may want to ck the ingredients and the guaranteed analysis on the food but water is good it help to digest food,to maintain a proper body temperature, proper blood volume and to clean the system of toxins and wastes. |
