Queston on water
Hi! i use to feed my Bischon and yorkie Science Diet for sensitive skin and they seemed to like it ok but they really didn't drink much water at all. I would only fill the small water bowl once a day for both of the dogs. Since then I switched to Iams for toy and small dogs. Everytime they really seem to enjoy the food but as soon as they eat the food they drink all the water and I fill it up again for them to drink more. This happens twice a day since I feed them morning and night. Is this normal? I thought maybe the food is salty?? Maybe before on the Science Diet it was not normal to drink so little Any Suggestions

Well I noticed no one replied to you so I thought I'd say somethin
First I would say that it sounds like thier water comsumption is more normal now than before?
I'm not sure about either of the foods you have fed them because I have only used Innova and Royal Canine - sorry I can't offer anything more, but maybe check the ingredients and see what is different?
If thier "potty" seems normal, I think they're ok ?!?

I'd go to the diet and health section here and read about dog food. It is eye-opening. I changed from Eukanuba after reading it.

I agee- the water consumption sounds normal but do a search on Iams and you'll probably want to switch. They have animal cruelty issues. Also dogs are usually better off with a wheat and corn free diet. Good luck!

You may want to ck the ingredients and the guaranteed analysis on the food but water is good it help to digest food,to maintain a proper body temperature, proper blood volume and to clean the system of toxins and wastes.
