Dry kibbles with water = wet food ? This is probably stupid question but I am going to ask all the expert here anyways :) Chelsea stops eating her dry kibbles last week unless if I mixed the kibbles with something else (dry liver or ceasar). She will eat if I put the one spoon of hot water. Since I would like to keep her in dry food only, will this be consider eating wet food and will be bad for her teeth ? or should I just let her starve for one day ? BTW she was eating nutro and also eating canidae kibbles. Thanks for your opinion. |
Well, it's not as "bad" as eating canned:laugh: As long as she's eating, that's the important thing. Start brushing her teeth and make sure she has plenty of safe chews. She'll outgrow the need for softening her food soon:thumbup: When I got Luna, she couldn't chew the kibbles and still has a pretty hard time, since she's so darned small and her mouth is small. Some of the kibbles are so big:eek:! Good luck, just keep her eating:D |
Thanks. She is 7 months old (4.5 lbs) and probably is still teething. I just do not want her to be a picky eater (or probably I should say continue to be a picky eater). She chews her bully stick after meals for about 1 hour. |

Boomer is the same way My little 3 month old Boomer is the same way, he's becoming a picky eater, he would not eat his food unless is wet, but I'm trying to get him out of that habit by adding a suplement to his food. I use Nupro which is kind of like Missing Link. I add that to his Canidae and he devours his food immediately. You may want to try a supplement and see how that works. |
I add missing link to her diet too. The problem is that she does not really like the missing link. So I give her in her cottage cheese after meal. I will see Nupro, probably it is tastier than missing link. Thanks. |
I was concerned that everyone was not getting equal amounts of Missing link so I decided to follow someones advice here and mix it with Plain Yogart... Everyone eats it up!!! Its amazing how fast they chow it down!... Paris takes her time though... she is such a dainty eater though! She does not want to get her beard dirty! lol |
Good advice I found from other post from mistyinca http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66557 |
