| Oh this is quite normal. I am so glad that you are continuing to give her the NutriCal. What are you feeding her? Dry food? For now, at least until she is 12 weeks old, I would mix her dry food with some "goodies" in order to get her to eat enough. You can put cottage cheese, plain yogurt, plain white rice, plain boiled chicken, any of these things mixed with her dry food to get her to eat a little more. But I would only do it until she is 12 weeks old, then start weaning her off the human food. You don't want to feed her human food after 12 weeks if you can help it. |

My furkids Donating Member | Sadie has been a fussy eater since day one! she is now 2 1/2 yrs old and she still isn't a really good eater but, she does eat...I feed her innova kibbles and boiled chicken...I like squish the chicken and kibbles together so the chicken kinda stays on the kibbles..I also add some green beans and sometimes raw carrots...(she doesn't like canned carrots) she will usually eat everything but she is a picker...I would ask your vet but maybe a little boiled chicken would be ok Good Luck~!

She is very young. I would give her nutrical, and keep Karo syrup in her water for at least a month. Give her soft food like Cesars twice a day, and let her free feed on dry food the rest of the time. I went through 5 brands before I found a dry food that Ollie would eat. And then I think she started eating better just because she was older. When I got Chachi, he was on Cesars twice a day and Royal canine. He ate much better, but then there were two of them so it might have been the competition that made him a better eater.

What brand of dried food? I went through this with my first yorkie, Hobbs. He would NEVER eat! I had to hand feed him the dried food in order for him to eat at all. But I finally realized that he just didn't like his food...he didn't like how it tasted. So, I switched to Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers' Soul and I haven't had any problems since. He usually cleans his bowl and licks the residual off the bottom. Maybe you could try switching brands, too.
