need advice PLEASE!! We just noticed that Roxy has two rows of teeth on the top and the bottom- like a shark!! Is that normal? Is there something wrong with her? Then a molar fell out today! Do they lose teeth this young? (she is 7 months old) PLEASE advise!! Thanks! |
he adult teeth are growing in. her baby teeth should fall out but if they don't the vet will have to pull them out. i'm not sure but if a lot of the adult teeth are coming in and the baby teeth aren't falling out you may need to get the vet to check her out. they can start falling out as early as 5mths. nala still has all her baby teeth and she is at 6mths. |
Her adult teeth are coming in...Sammi's last baby canine fell out about 2 weeks ago, and she is 16 months old :) Give it some time all the baby teeth will fall out...Try some tug of war, thats how i got some of sammi's teefthiessss loose Fran :) |
It is common in yorkies for the baby teeth to need extraction. It is usually done in conjunction with neutering and spaying at 6 months of age or so. My vet seemed to think the sooner the better for the health of the teeth. Yorkies are also known to have problem teeth and periodontal disease which can lead to problems in their later years. |
Gucci also has some baby teeth were the adult came in. We play tug of war but so far they wont fall out. So when she get spay the vet will extarct those teeth. |
Same thing going on here...Max has now lost most of the baby teeth (he just turned 6 months last week), so he looks hilarious (the 4 chompers are HUGE, and all the ones in the front are teeny)...he's my little vampire boy. I'm calling around to different vets today to research what type of anesthesia they use for small dogs, so I can get Max's appt rescheduled & hopefully the serial-humping will stop! LOL Anyway, I'll have the remaining ones taken out at that time. |
