| Once a day feeding? I just moved into a new apartment and my roommate also has a yorkie! We're trying to get them on the same kind of schedules and what not and she only feeds her yorkie once a day (5 pm). I feed Emmy in the morning and evening. It's hard with the morning feeding because the other lil one wants to eat Emmy's food. I want to keep Emmy on the twice a day schedule, but want to know if anyone out there only feeds their yorkie once a day?

| I would not recommend only once a day. They need to eat AT LEAST twice a day to prevent a hypoglocemic episode. Can you take your little one in your room and close the door to feed her in the mornings? Why doesn't your roommate want to feed her yorkie twice a day? |

| I don't think I would feed a small dog only once a day. Too much can happen with blood sugar, and other levels. That is just my opinion. Also, they may over eat or not chew their food properly if they get too hungry, this maybe could lead to bloat or indigestion. I am no expert, tho. Ellie |

| Would it be possible to half the other babies dinner so she can have breakfast too? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I feed 3 times a day and would recommend twice daily. Once a day is too long for these little ones to go without food.

| Everything that I have read, says twice a day. Wonder where your friend thought once a day was alright. |

| The simple solution would be for your roomate to feed twice a day also. |

| It's actually getting better actually! They are both on different foods too and the other dog doesn't like to food Emmy is on (Nutro). So I am going to keep doing the twice a day thing and see how it works out! =)
