| Sure is! Just about every pet store carries some kind of coprophagia deterrant... My parents have used Deter in the past with some success.... All the pet stores in my area carry this kind. Drs. Foster & Smith also carry something called Dis-Taste Sometimes this stuff takes a couple weeks to start working, so if it doesn't stop right away don't be discouraged. Give it a while to see if it'll help. In the mean time, try to pick up any messes the second you see them so he can't eat 'em! |

| I know!!! My dogs had done that before...i called my vet and he told me that dogs usually do that because we have repremended our pups for pooping in the wrong place (ie inside the house) so they eat it to hide it from us. Well anyways....he told me to sprinkle meat tenderizer in the pups food...not to much just a little. It tastes okay going in, but when its out.....they really dislike the taste...something to do with the enzymes. It works my pups will not eat their poop anymore! Try it and let me know.....

| Hehehe dont worry you are probably not scaring your pup...Im pretty sure you have done the usual " No bad boy dont do that" and that is all that it takes for them to do that. The meat tederizer works fairly quick...my dog stopped the first time he tried eating it afterwards i put in the meat tenderizer. They just really dislike it! Well good luck!

Would Accent Meat Tenderizer work? How much did he suggest you use? My Vet never mentioned that, but did mention Forbid, Distaste and the Deter. None worked. We just have to hurry and get it picked up.

| I tried using the Deter and that didn't work with Sydney. I used Accent Flavor Enhancer. It has to have MSG in it. I noticed that Meat Tenderizer does not have MSG in it anymore. My vet said to just sprinkle it on her food and hopefully she would quit. Now that she has grown up a little she doesn't seem to be eating it now just playing with it. |

| This seems to be a puppy thing....at least until the age of 2. Tootsie did that...everything I tried didn't work...Adolf's meat tenderizer...that didn't do any good. Deter...nothing there either. She just seemed to outgrow that phase. I see a lot of people talk about this gross phase their Yorkies go through. But for me...I learned to ignore when she did that..but I would pray that she didn't try that when we had company! Tootsie is now 4-1/2 years old...no longer eating poop....YAHOO!

| Just a little itty bitty sprinkle. as if you sprinkle your food with a little salt.

| I still need to try the meat tenderizier because none of the other stuff worked. Joey is 2 years old and Izzie 5 1/2 months and they are the only one who do. Emilee will be 3, she doesn't, and Gidget is almost 17 months and she doesn't eat it either. It is so gross. I was told they eat because of them pooping where they are not suppose to, because they were missing some vitamins and minerals and also because they smell the food in they ate and like it. Yuk..
