Bones in Merrick ??? This is not about feeding my Yorkies it is about my Angel. Today I gave my 15yr. old Afghan Smothered Comfort and found a very large thigh bone in it. The way I found this was she was choking, you see she only has 6 teeth left. I was lucky to get it from her B4 anything bad happened. I didn't read The "Note From The Chef" part of the label where it states there was a softened bone in it and it's OK to eat. I only read the ingredients on the opposite side and there was no mention of a bone. I always heard chicken. bones splinted in dogs intestines. Has anybody ever tried this type of Merrick canned food B4 and should I contact their PR department? Key2Yorkies ~ Jan |
Hi Jan....yes I buy Merrick food all of the time . Mine exspecially like the "wingaling" and the "smothered comfort" They both have the very softened bones in them. I was worried at first too but I just smoosh the bones with a fork until they are just all granulated because I am afraid they would choke. It really is a great dog food. |
Oh and they LOVE IT! :p |

Where can you buy the Merricks dog food, I've looked around and no luck. Also, off the subject and this is probably a stupid question but being new I've searched and can't find the answer. How do you start a new thread? |

Now, new threads...go up to forums and see what category you want, like General Yorkie Discussion, and click on it. On the left side you will see it say New Thread. And, there you go. Now I'll be looking for your new post! ;) |
