| Does Your Baby Eat Grass or Leaf? I think Jazzie's a Cow or Goat! I think Jazzie is part cow or goat! Every chance she gets she will eat grass or leafs. I had to DRAG Jazzie away from the grass today! She just had to have it! Does your kids eat them too? Why do you think they do? I've always heard they do this because they are not feeling well but I'm not sure. When I Googled it, it said they simply like the taste, and dogs are not intelligent enough to use grass as a medicinal herb. I don't like it especially when she eats leafs from various plants because I assume they are harmful or poisonous. She throws up sometimes with bits of plants in it. I found out that University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is currently conducting a study of grass and plant eating behavior in dogs (and cats). I just finished completing the survey. It doesn't give you any answers, it strictly for research. They are supposed to publish the results when the study is complete. They want responses from any dogs or cats that have eaten grass or leafs. If you want to take the survey here is the link: http://intercom.virginia.edu/SurveyS...og/index2.html

| Yep, my Tinka does it too. When I take her out to potty, all she wants to do is scrounge around the ground and find something to munch on. She will eat grass, dead grass, dead or alive plants, seeds from the trees... At first I thought she was just looking for places to potty, but then I realized I was standing outside waiting for my dog to finish grazing! My mini-Schnauzer doesn't do this... only my Yorkie. omega |

| I think Max and Abbie are both half cow as well. Max especially enjoys finding clumps of grass that are scattered after the grass is cut. He also likes to eat moss. I try to stop them whenever they start to graze but it's often impossible. I don't know what to do either

| Sissy likes to eat leaves and stems that drop from the trees. She also loves to eat the cedar bark that covers our flower beds - I'm always chasing her down to get it away from her!!

| Bailey loves to graze on grass a little here and there. I have been told that it has something to do with their digestive systems.
