First Post ... to much poop? Hey all Its my first post here on YT. I think this may be a stupid question. But my little one, Baci, who is three months old poops and pees sooooo much. Is this normal? We only feed him twice a day. But he always has water available. Housetraining tips are welcome as well. He is going in the same area all the time but either moves the pee pads and goes where they were or goes just outside them. AHH. But he is sOOoOO cute |
Dezi pooped and peed a lot when she was three months. She is now 5 1/2 months and she poops two times a day. It can also be the food you are feeding your baby. |
Lower quality foods usually produce more poop so you may want to check on switching him to a higher quality if this is the case. Sounds like your both doing great on potty training to me. You might want to get one of those underbed storage boxes, ya know, they're clear plastic the size of a potty pad. Then cut an entrance in one side. This will keep the puppy and the pee on the pad. This is a common problem. They think that as long as one foot is on the pad then it's all good! Doing this will also help them by teaching them that rugs are not potty pads which is another problem. |
See how little your three month old is? Now think of how tiny his bladder and intestines are. Of course he poops and pees a lot, and thank goodness he does or he would probably explode, lolol! As he gets larger, his frequency will probably slow down.:p AND WELCOME to YT!!:welcome4: |
Puppies do this --- They are similar to human babies - and believe me when my children were babies, I'm sure I changed their diapers 20 times a day with poop and pee all the time. Carol Jean |
All sounds normal to me. They are growing so they eat a lot and therefore they poop a lot. What goes in must come out. :D I've seen other posts where it is suggested that you put their toys around the edge of the pee pad to keep them from going on the edge. But the plastic tote sounds like an excellent idea too. I might try that |
