| Bump, lump, Pimple? Need help!! Ok, So Lilly gets this pimple on her from leg about two weeks ago, I thought maybe a bug bite. and as a bad mommy didn't pay a lot of attention to it. On Monday I notice it has about doubled, if not tripled in size. I took her to the vet yesterday and they took a sample and gave me antibotics and a creme. I told them to hold off on sending the sample to the lab, (it was expensive and couldn't guarantee anything) as I was hoping that the medication would help and all would be good.. Here is a picture of it. Has anyone ad anything that looks like this?? If you did what did it turn out to be? What did the vet do for him or her?

| Zeus had a similar, smaller bump on his belly and of course I freaked out and took him to the vet! She said it was a pimple, nothing to worry about. It went away in a few days!

Hmmmm, then I don't know quite what it could be. I wish I was of more help. Why don't you click on the "search" button and type in "bump". I know there are others here who have experienced something similar with their little ones. Hope you find some answers!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It definately looks infected. I would think that the antibiotics would take care of it. My pom just had a weird sore much bigger down by her vaginal area and they put her on antibiotics and it cleared up within 5 days. They never said anything about testing it.

| It was only red after they pricked it with a needle to get a sample, before that it was just clear, or flesh colored. Seems to be down a little from yesterday, but still concerns me!

| Karen, I'd keep a real close eye on it... And if it gets any bigger, you could maybe speak to your vet about the possibility of making payments for the lab work. They may be able to split the cost up for you so that it doesn't hit you all at the same time. Better to be safe... Good luck, sweetie, and I sure hope little Lilly is OK!

| I think if the vets office felt she should really have the lab work done then I'm hoping they would have said so. I felt they agreed with me when I said I would wait and see if the antibotics worked. But of course Glad, I will keep an eye on it. I have to apply a creme three times a day, so if it changes I will see it.. Thanks for the concern. |

| I will have Lily in my thoughts and prayers and I hope that the antibiotics will clear it out. Gucci had a bump after her spayed that got bigger and it turned out to be a hernia and she also had an infection. She had surgery last month and was on antibiotics and is doing well now. I dont think that is Lily's case thou. Please keep us posted. |

| I might be wrong, but it seems maybe a bit smaller today. Like when you take a little air out of a balloon that has been inflated for a while. Has a little loose skin on it. I know it sounds like I'm a bad momma, but when the vet said that it could be anything from a pimple to a bug bite to she doesn't know, I figured I would save the money and see if the creme and antibotics helped first. Of course I will be right back in that office if they don't work. I might be cheap, but I do love them all and would never put any of their lives in danger. ( I hope you guys know that about me??)
